Description
Dylos DC 1100 Pro features technology and engineering that allows monitoring of indoor air quality with an LCD screen that provides small and large particle counts with a dynamic bar graph showing actual count reading. Multiple modes including minute, hour, day and monitor to evaluate your air quality and store up to 30 days of air quality history for review.
LASER TECHNOLOGY
Laser particle counters are used for the quick and accurate measurement of airborne particulate matter at specific sizes and concentrations. These devices are used in health care, food processing, pharmaceutical laboratories and clean room facilities because airborne particulate matter can cause manufacturing damage.
Particle Counts
A fan moves air through the laser and the computer counts two sizes of particles, 0.5 & 2.5 micron.
Particles at =<0.5 micron include: bacteria, mold fragments, smoke, smog, virus. Large particles include: mold spores, pollens, larger bacteria, pet dander, skin flakes, insect fecal matter, and more.
Confirming that the air ducts, air purifiers, vacuum, etc. are not emitting particles and that house cleaning is not just moving dust from furniture into the air is critical for people with allergies, asthma, mold sensitivities and respiratory challenges..
PC Interface Option
The PC Interface Option has all the features of the standard Dylos DC1100 PRO, but also allows you to download the air quality data to a PC for graphing and analysis. A 9-pin serial cable (not included) links the DC1100 to your PC or laptop to transfer the data as it samples. To use this feature, you must connect a 9-pin serial cable from the unit to a COM port on your PC. If your PC lacks any COM ports, you’ll need to purchase a COM Port to USB adapter to use with the cable. You can then use any terminal program on the PC to communicate with the DC1100. Not all operating systems come with terminal programs. If yours does not, a terminal program must be purchased separately. Serial cables are available at most office supply stores, and terminal programs are easy to download. More detailed information and instructions are provided in the Owner’s Manual.
NOTE – Any software that comes with the cable must be installed before using.
PORTABLE AND VERSATILE
The Dylos Laser Particle counter is a sophisticated tool for assessing how clean your indoor air is. This low cost unit is small, lightweight, easy to use and understand.

“…my first impression is good. It seems to be accurate. Very easy to use (plug it in and turn it on), you can’t go wrong for the price. Neat!” … Texas
“…great tool for showing how dusty or clean my air is. I see that some of my air purifiers are better then others and my vacuum cleaner is sucking up the big stuff and spitting out small stuff- yuck!” NC
